A professional hi-fi stereo compact disc recorder/player housed in a champagne gold metal cabinet. Optional rack handles. Supplied with a remote control, also with phono sockets for Philips RC5 interface protocol. With jack for headphones.
The development of the first professional CD recorder was a joint venture, mainly between Philips and Studer. Known is the almost identical model Studer D740, other similar devices were sold under the brand Carver, model PDR-10, and Apex, model CDR-40. They were all manufactured in Belgium.
