A stereo/quadradial receiver with an AM/FM tuner and integrated amplifier with power output of 2 x 70 watts RMS into 8 ohms or 4 x 25 watts RMS into 8 ohms, housed in a metal case (a wooden case an optional extra). Preamplifier and Power amplifier sections can be separated. With a "Vari-Matrix" circuit which simulates 4 channel sound from 2 channel stereo sound and will reproduce any discrete 4 channel program as well as stereo and mono. Also optional plug-in SQ decoders for any specific matrix system eg: the Marantz SQA-1 SQ Adaptor for the CBS SQ system. PLL FM stereo MPX decoder. Built-in 2 channel Dolby unit. Meters for Signal Strength/Dolby output Level and FM Tuning, gyro-touch tuning wheel, Bass, Mid and Treble rotary tone controls. On the rear, a DIN socket for optional RC-4 wired remote control, terminals for AM and FM antennae, an AM ferrite rod aerial, input sockets for Phono, Tape 1, Tape 2 and CD-4 Aux, a Power Mode switch for 2 x 70 watts stereo or 4 x 25 watts quadrophonic output, 16 terminals for 8 pairs of loudspeakers, (4 Front, 4 Rear), two jacks for Headphones, front and rear, etc.
