  • One of the "Marantz Classic Series" of three reissued Marantz hi-fi products originally built in the 1960s, including the Marantz Model 9 Power  Amplifier and the Marantz Model 8B Stereo Power Amplifier. Built by the Valve Amplification Company Inc., Sarasota, Florida, to the exact original specification from parts made by the original suppliers

    Its specification is identical to that of the original Marantz Model 7 Stereo Console Preamplifier.

    • Construction: Aluminum chassis. Solid aluminum brushed and anodized faceplate in original color. Machined and finished control knobs and switches to original specifications. Optional wooden outer case.
    • Frequency response: within 0.5 dB from 20Hz-20kHz
    • 8-position source selector switch; Microphone, Phono 1, Phono 2, Tape Head, FM/AM, FM Multiplex, TV, Auxiliary
    • 5-position mode selector switch; Stereo, Stereo Reverse, Left, Right, Mono
    • Master balance control
    • Tone controls for Bass and Treble; one pair for each channel. Stepped in increments of 3dB at 50Hz and 2.5dB at 10kHz. Bypassed in "Flat" position
    • 3-position record equalizer; RIAA, old Columbia LP, early 78
    • 3-position high filter; 5 kHz, 9kHz, bypass
    • 3-position rumble filter; 50 Hz, 100 Hz, bypass
    • 9 pairs of inputs; 3 pairs of outputs
