The set uses 2 Detectors: a Carborundum/steel detector (polarised by a 1.5 V cell) and an open Catwhiskers/Galena detector. Spade tuning.
In an effort to clear their inventory of obsolete stock Marconiphone released some 15000 crystal sets in Nov.1925 to J.M.Millet & Sons. The Marconiphone A was resold as Millet A. The sets got a circular red label over the Marconiphone lettering on the lid. BBC and GPO seals were kept.
