There are three versions of the Super Range Portable Four in the same case and same moulded Bakelite speaker grill:
- Type A: 1929 (SRPF without scale). Earliest version has Super Screened Portable Four Fretwork.
- Type B: 1930 Differences not known
- Type C: 1931 With a scale. This model.
There are possibly more than four later TRF portables in the same case and speaker grill with incremental design changes, including the Duplex Four Portable Type C, the Duplex Four Portable Type S and the SMC Duplex Four Portable Early & Late versions.
