Primary purpose is to measure the amplitude of cable-TV signals. Tunes 4 to 450 MHZ. An interesting secondary function is the spectrum analyzer, where the SAM generates horizontal and vertical signals for an external oscilloscope. Unit is also useful for aiming roof top antennas. Runs on internal NiCad battery pack. Plugs into 110 VAC to charge the batteries.
