  • Midway Sales Inc. Radio-Mike Cat. No. B-711 is a magnetic microphone with bypass capacitors designed to be connected to the detector and then amplifier stages of a radio, allowing you to speak through the radio to the speaker, as a 1949 ad states "TALK-SING-PLAY through your own radio".

The model came with a pamplet "An Outline of Radio Television Acting Announcing Entertaining in 12 Condensed Lessons", so that you could learn to "create and broadcast your own radio shows, commercials, news programs...to play your favorite musical instrument and have it broadcast over the radio".
