- This round, vertically-mounted flameproof key was made in bakelite and metal versions. It was used to blink the top and bottom lights of many RAF an Canadian Air Force airplains for visual plane-to-plane and plane-to-ground communications during periods of "radio silence" to keep the enemy from listening in.
