This Transmitter was used during WWII and later in aircraft and in rescue-boats. There were many variants with differences in HF- and LF-ranges and steel (marine & ground control) or aluminium (aircraft) types.
About 80.000 have been made.Companion to the R1155 Receiver, commonly used in Lancaster Bomber.
The Transmit HT is over 1200V, the separate PSU can be of the "Dynamotor"/Rotary Converter type or a vibrator driven transformer. 6V, 12V and 24V options. For 6V @ 8A and 1200V @ 250mA.
