The Wireless Set No.86 is a VHF multi-channel communications system for use between division and corps, it comes in four units of identical dimensions usually mounted on a lorry. It can be considered an improved British variant of the American AN/TRC1-3 equipment. Later it carried the designation Trasnmitter Radio C41 and Receiver R222.
