After WWII Italian military forces made use of surplus communication equipment left by Allied troops. In some cases the sets were modified with the replacement of English labels with Italian ones on the panel. Sets were anyway built by US manufacturers, but several Italian contractors overhauled lots of receivers, adding Italian inscriptions. Sometimes the original labels, with the exact model reference, were retained. In other cases original labels were replaced by new ones with generic model indication.
