  • VHF FM transceiver for artillery locations and artillery reconnaissance. Covered 24 to 28 MHz, phone only (F3). Transmitter output power around 1W. Standard antennas - 2.5 m vertical or 6.4 meter long flexible wire. Field telephone type handset to listen and talk. Wooden carry case with belts for transceiver and batteries, full weight - 21 kg. Manufactured by several radio works of the USSR. The total production rate for all the A-7 models was up to 1200 units per month in 1943 going up to 4000 units per month in 1944-45.
