The Montgomery Ward Airline model 62-445 and the variants of them receive BC (535-1720 kHz) band. Arranged like an old telephone there are 10 push buttons for direct tuning. The system is called "Teledial" and each button had labels glued on. The labels show from which region the set was originally - example is "KGO S. Fran'co" and "KPO S. Fran'co" for South West or California.
Colours and material: model 475: black bakelite. model 455: brown bakelite and model 445: ivory plaskon. Here you find more complex Teledial models with a different system like the 1541 and 1291 as console from 1936/37 but also the Teledial 588 or 62-306 as table model from this season. See this article containing Teledial models. Also Teledial models of other brands are covered. In particular the nine 1936/37 Grunow models presented in "Radio Retailing", March 1937, are linked.
