The model 56T1 is Motorola's first transistor portable. It has a metal case, but the handle is made in plastic to serve as antenna. See also the models 56T1A and this one with the same case. Pull the volume control knob from front of the radio for chassis removal. There is a tuning knob retaining screw. After the tuning knob is removed the chassis mounting screw is visible.
