  • Resolver No. 2 is a special type of Magslip used for the solution of trigonometrical problems such as the conversion of polar to Cartesian coordinates.

    Each stator phase is energized in accordance with an applied computing voltage. No power is taken from this source, and energization is obtained by means of an amplifier and a second (feedback) stator winding. The rotor voltages are proportional to the exciting voltages and to the sine and cosine of the angle between the stator and rotor electrical axes,
