The National 600 Watt Transmitter covers the 10, 20, 40, and 80 meter amateur bands in AM or CW, It contains the following National components: NTE (Exciter Speech Amplifier), NT 2000 PCW (2000 Volt Power Supply), NT 1200 PCW (1250 Volt Power Supply), NT 300 PCW (Class B Modulator), NT 100 PCW (Final Amplifier), NT-APW (Pi Network Coupler), and NT-RPW (Relay Control Panel). Each component was available for purchase separately.
In Transmitters Exciters and Power Amplifiers: 1930-1980, the author refers to this unit as the National NC-600, however, the National Catalogs from 1939 and 1941 only refer to it as "The National 600 Watt Transmitter."
