  • AM/CW-receiver for millitary/airborne use, coverage 0.17 to 12 MHz in five ranges. Needs Hi-Z headset. At first time radio set named US (universal superheterodyne).
    Later tube 6l7 (1st mixer) changed to 6a7. Model named as US-1 (in 1942), after WW2 named US-P, only last models named as PR-4 (P, R, V)(See in RMorg). Till 1941 produced in one of Moscow factories. After 1941 manufactured in Nizhegorodsk. Maybe other factories were involved (too many sets were made). Set used as receiver-block in radio-stations RAF, RSB etc. Used motor type voltage conversion unit (Dynamotor/Umformer) type RUK-300V. It works at 25,5V and supply radio tubes 6,3 V (heating) and 200-220 V (anode).
