The Nordmende Sterling model Caruso-us is the export version of the domestic Nordmende Caruso-Stereo 1/616 for 1960-1962.
The Caruso-us has 4 instead of 2 loudspekers: 2 with diameter 6" x 8.5" and 2 with 4" diameter. The bands are two short wave bands (1.5-5.5 mc and 6-19 mc) instead of SW and LW. In SAMS the power transoformer is given as for primary 117 volts but on the title there is AC 110-120 / 220 volts. There are two independant AF channels but not stereo reception. Importer and distributor in the USA was Sterling Hi-Fidelity, Inc., 22-14 40th Ave., Long Island City 1, NY. Phono-Chassis = Dual 1007.
SAMS states in the parts list for item X1 (power rectifiers and signal diodes) the internal Nordmende-part no. 464.010.
