The Northern Electric R-1000 3-Tube Peanut Receiver was advertised as a combination of the R-1 Receiver and two R-5 One Stage Audio Amplifiers. The combination was sold complete with all necessary things needed to install the set, including tubes, batteries, phones and aerial equipment.
The Northern Electric R-20 Variometer could be purchased separately to provide a method to make the set regenerative.
