Although a set with U-tubes, it has a mains isolating transformer built in, with a separate winding for the dial backlight (a Philips 8097D bulb). A coiled wire antenna is integrated into the rear panel.
The company name Novak is nowhere mentioned on the set. The Pontiac name was used by Novak as a secondary brand name.
