  • The model number is unknown, but this model appears to be essentially identical to the Knight 10896.  

    Chassis appears to be similar to the Model 36 with modifications:  1) The power filter choke is deleted. 2) An additional filter capacitor stage is added, the result is a 3-section electyrolytic can (30/15/15µF).  3) The 25A6 has been modified to a cathode resistor biasing scheme.

    While the chassis dimensions appear to be the same as Model 36, the tube placement has changed, there is now a plate where the choke was and the electrolytic capacitor has been added.

    The radio also has a push button tuning mechanism that moves the tuning indicator mechanically - similar in appearance to the Model 702 system.

    Strangely, the dial lamp is behind the opaque dial and does not illuminate the dial at all.
