The first transistor radio built in the UK released March 1956 price £22 14s 10d plus purchase tax. 6 x 4 inch elliptical loudspeaker. Attention: The semiconductor list shows V6/R8M & V6/R8 instead of V6/R3(M). These types were never produced - misread of the "8" as a "3"?! Source: Andrew Wylie (UK).
