National R-186 portable/car radio specially designed for Australian use, having a dial showing all Australian radio stations. This radio can be used in the car, for which a special car cradle is available, and can be taken out and used as an ordinary portable radio. Housed in an attractive plastic case with an anodised metal front.
Features: eight-transistor, one-band portable radio which is supersensitive, built-in ferrite antenna and RF circuit. The all-Australian dial plate is featured with a special push-button dial light. Control: tuning knob, volume and tone control. Special jacks for car antenna, external power source (6V), phonograph, tape recorder and earphone or external speaker.
Specifications: frequency range, MW 540 - 1605 kC/s (kHz) with a power output of 500 mW. Speaker 5" PM dynamic. Batteries: 4 x UM2 National flashlight batteries (6V). (MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
