National Model RQ-505 Tape Recorder
A two-speed twin track, AC operated tape recorder. Seven transistors and one diode. Smart styling and reduced size and weight make it easy to carry. Housed in black plastic cabinet.
Features: the combined use of National "Golden" heads and high-efficiency transistors assure excellent, noise-free recording and playback. Tone control knob and fast forward mechanism; 5" reels. Power consumption 20W.
Specifications: recording system AC bias 35 kC/s (kHz) and erase system DC. Frequency response, 70-7000 C/s (Hz) at 3¾ ips; 70-4000 C/s (Hz) at 1⅞ ips. Speaker 6" x 3" PM dynamic.
