Coverage: 0.545-2, 2-7.5, 7.5-30.5 MHz, the EC-1B is nearly identical to model EC-1A. Both are updated versions of the EC-1, the EC-1A uses the more conventional and more expensive dual-control variable capacitor. Identical model also sold as Echophone EC-1A, both models based on Hallicrafters S-41.
The Swiss Variant imported by John Lay, Luzern, can be powered from 115-250V (Voltage selector with screws activating a resistor can be seen at the left hand on the chasses if the Swiss imported model shown); the U.S. variants powered only from 115-125 Volts.
