- Notes
- The Philco model 37-641 series uses a 7-tube 3-band chassis with shadow meter (tuning aid). The chassis is similar in design to the 37-640 series, but uses an AC-DC power supply and lower power output tubes. Band coverage is 530-1720 kHz (BC), 2.3-7.4 MHz (SW1), and 7.35-22 MHz (SW2).
There are four specific models in the series with different cabinet styles. Model 37-641B (1936-37) is a tombstone. The early version (1936) of 37-641X is a console with an inclined sounding board and a slightly trapezoidal overall profile. The late version (1937) of 37-641X is a console with a rectangular profile and a U-shaped recessed inclined panel for both the speaker and control panel. Model 37-641MX (1936-37) is a console with a more modern design, having four vertical slots for the speaker opening.
