- Philco service literature indicates that the schematic for 37-623 is to be used for serviceing the 38-623 chassis.
For the filament power supply, a 2 volt storage battery may be used, or a dry battery (presumably 3 volt) with a 1F1 ballast lamp in series to lower the voltage to 2 volts. The ballast is inserted into a socket on the A battery pack.
There is a model 38-623T table radio and 38-623K console.
