- Notes
- The Philco model 38-630 series includes two models with different cabinet styles: Model 38-630K (1937) is a console with a vertical control panel flush with the front of the cabinet. Model 38-630XF (1938) has a completely different console cabinet with a sloped control panel.
Both models use a 6-tube 3-band chassis with shadow meter (a type of signal strength meter used as a tuning aid). Philco service literature indicates that the schematic for the previous year's chassis 37-630 (presumably the later code 125 version) is to be used for servicing the 38-630 chassis.
There is also a related export model series 38-2630.
