  • Model 42-730T is a "Philco-Tropic" model intended for harsh environments. In addtion to the BC band and two SW bands, two additional bandspread bands are provided on the 5-position bandswitch. Ranges covered are 540-1720 kHz (BC), 2.3-7.5 MHz (SW1), 7-22 MHz (SW2), 9.4-12 MHz ("spread band 1"), and 15.1-18 MHz ("spread band 2").
