The Philco model 48-1000 television was introduced in 1948. It has an 8-channel turret tuner with plug-in coils, so that any 8 of the available channels 1-13 could be selected. A unique design feature is a dual 300 ohm antenna input, intended for separate antennas for the VHF low and VHF high bands.
Model 48-1000-5 is identical to model 48-1000 except that it has a power supply designed for 50 Hz AC power.
