Following is replacement information for internal capacitors C4 (inside RF transformer Z1), TC2 and TC3 (inside I.F. transformer Z2), and TC4 and TC5 plus two 100pF (inside I.F. transformer Z3).  These capacitors often fail due to silver migration shorts.  Shorting of these capacitors usually results in poor reception and continuous noise. The values listed were determined for Philco part numbers 32-4399, 32-4160-2, and 32-4240-6.

C4:  10pF on schematic but plate area appears to be in the 3 to 5pF range.  Try a smaller value if 10pF causes problems.

       TC2, TC4, and two additional in Z3:  100pF

       TC3 and TC5:  75pF

Note that the input and output windings of the I.F. transformers are not the same and care must be taken to avoid reversing the transformers when replacing the capacitors.  Typically, all of the capacitors are removed from the aluminum enclosures and new capacitors are wired to the transformer terminals after they are remounted on the radio chassis.
