  • Notes
  • The Philco model 630 series uses a 6-tube 3-band chassis which is very similar to the 620 series, but with shadow meter (tuning aid) added. The bands covered are BC, 1.75-5.8 MHz, and 5.7-18 MHz.

There are four individual models with different cabinet styles. Model 630B is a shouldered tombstone. Model 630X is a console with inclined sounding board and a vase-shaped pattern in the latticework over the speaker opening. Model 630PF is radio-phonograph floor-type console with phonograph under the top lid. Model 630CSX is a chairside with built-in speaker and controls in a T-shaped recess on the top.

The model 635 series (1936), the 37-630 series (1936-37), and the 38-630 series (1937-38) were similar in electrical design, although the later two series had updated tube types and different SW band coverage.
