The Philco Solid State R-940 AM/FM Pocket Radio came in two case colors: blue (BL) or orange (OR) with matching color dial escutcheon. The FM circuit had an additional front end RF amplifier stage. Other features include a Philco speaker 0.2 watt, telescopic antenna, earphone jack, and wrist strap.
The very similar R-131 has the same PCB/circuit and case (different colors) except the dial escutcheon is chrome plated metal .
