The Philco 088 Signal Generator was advertised as the "All-Wave", keying in on the shortwave craze of the mid-1930s.
This RF generator covers the range of 110 kHz to 20 MHz in five ranges.It is the early version with only 2 output binding posts (antenna + ground). No on/off modulation switch.
The unit is powered by two 1.5 V "D" batteries and three 22.5 V batteries.
There is also a later version with three output binding posts (high + medium + ground) plus an on/off modulation switch.
