Philips Model 123 "Console De-Luxe"
A 23" remote controlled de-luxe console TV receiver having 16 valves, eight germanium and two silicon diodes, four voltage-dependent and one light-dependent resistors. Cabinet on castors, finished in maple, walnut or rosewood.
Features: aerial input 300 ohms. Built-in aerial pad with optional connections. Power tuned turret tuner for 13 channels with channel preselection and remote control. Three stage vision IF with frame-grid valves; two stage sound IF with ratio detector. DC coupling to picture tube. Noise gated and delayed AGC. Noise detector and frequency controlled noise gate. Automatic "magic eye" brightness/contrast control by light- dependent resistor. "Halo-light" rear cabinet illumination. Stabilised vertical, horizontal and EHT circuits. Curved safety/filter screen. Horizontal tilt-out chassis for easy servicing. Speakers: one 8" and 6" front mounted.
Controls: push-button on/off, channel selector bar, contrast, volume, brightness, tone. Illuminated channel indicator. Rear pre-set: fine tuning, channel preselection, manual tone, horizontal hold, vertical hold, halo-light on/off. Remote control unit for channel, volume, picture, with 25 ft of kinkless cable.
