Philips 633 "Mercury" Lowboy
A 23" (59 cm) lowboy receiver having 110º aluminised picture tube, 16 valves, eight germanium diodes, two silicon diodes and five voltage-dependent resistors. Cabinet, on legs, finished in maple, walnut or rose mahogany.
Features: aerial input 300 or 75 ohms. Power-tuned cascode turret tuner (10-channel NT3001 /02). Three-stage IF with two frame-grid valves, two sound IF stages. Ratio detector, DC coupling to picture tube. Keyed, gated and delayed AGC. Noise detector and frequency controlled noise gate. Stabilised vertical, horizontal and EHT circuits. Horizontal chassis easily accessible for servicing. Speaker: front mounted 7" x 5".
Controls: push-button on-off, channel selector, fine tuning, brightness/contrast, volume/tone. Rear preset-horizontal hold, vertical hold. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
