- This radio was manufactured for tropical zones - running on a 6 volt accumulator (car battery). The 697VN receives from broadcast up to 13 meter short waves, divided in 6 bands: 540 - 1550 kc, 1.5 - 4.8 mc for SW1, 3.8 - 9 mc, 8.7 - 15 mc, 14 - 19.5 mc and 15 - 23 mc for SW5. There is a synchro vibrator (115 cycles). The real model shows two wooden vertical bars which divide the loudspeaker grille view. The loudspeaker is on the far left side.
