Does anyone have experience repairing piano buttons on a Philips radio? I am repairing a B5X88A radio that has a problem with the off button not operating correctly. The previous owner installed an on/off switch on the chord which works fine. However I prefer to have the button working properly.
The mechanism does not move the connections unless manually pulled or pushed with pliers. I have taken off the end cover exposing the contacts and wonder if it is missing a spring. Are there any drawings or pictures that I could refer to?
