Philips Model 309 "Countryman"
Imported battery-operated triple-wave portable radio having seven transistors and two germanium diodes. Housed in off-white polystyrene cabinet with brown leatherette covered sides; gold carrying handle.
Features: built-in Ferroceptor aerial for B/C; built-in loop for S/W; provision for connection of external aerial. Speaker: Philips 4". Operates from four 1.5V (D) cells. Printed circuitry. Fully calibrated Australian and overseas dial; B/C, 1622~517 kC/s (kHz); S/W1, 1.6~5.2 MC/s (MHz); S/W2, 5.9~18.1 MC/s (MHz).
Controls: five push-buttons for on/off, tone, B/C and S/W band selection; roller type controls for volume and tuning. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
