  • Philips Model PP1 "Gold Star"

    Medium size B/C portable radio having seven transistors, housed in genuine leather-covered cabinet in red, natural pigskin, blue or green. Cabinet front is heavy diecast metal finished in 24 ct gold.

    Features: long linear "Rotaview" dial is printed in triangular drum, two States to a side, a turn of the knob brings each State scale into view. Permits all major and most minor stations to be shown on the dial and eliminates problem of lost dial scales.

    Adjustable carrying strap can be used either as a shoulder strap or handgrip handle. Straps detach for indoor use.

    Operates from one Eveready Type 2364 Energizer. Total output 300 mW at 400 C/s (Hz) measured in voice coil. Speaker: 3" Rola (3CQ/15Ω).

    Controls: on cabinet side (from top), "Rotoview" dial changeover, tuning, volume. (MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
