According to Leighton Lord (Managing Director of Philips NZ from 1947-1957) in his book "Philips in New Zealand" this was the first radio manufactured by Philips in New Zealand at their Blair Street factory in 1936. However, known examples and documentation closely resemble a product made by Radio Corporation of New Zealand Ltd.
So perhaps the factory only undertook final assembly and alignment.

Actual models have the model designation P636, while a newspaper advert says 636P.
