  • Notes
  • Plaza portable Gramophone, REGAL model, 1926. This ad appeared on March 15, 1926 in the American magazine «Talking Machine World» and is typical of the place and time. American portables, and especially more expensive versions such as the PAL, had a more luxurious appearance than their British equivalent and were more reminiscent of cosmetic cases than briefcases (see also 113A/160 Columbia, which shows the same trend).

Original description from: “Fonografi e Grammofoni” by Christopher Proudfoot, Italian edition “Silvana Editoriale” 1980.

Portatile Plaza, modello REGAL, 1926.
