    This model first appears in a 1953 advertisement in Radio Electronics as a "Capacity" Decade Box.  They probably meant to say "Capacitor" Decade Box.  Later (1970's?) models from Precise Electronics (same company with new name) were labeled "478 Capacitor Decade".

    Price in 1953 was $18.95 for the kit (478K), and $24.95 for factory wired (478W).
