  • A UK version of the Weltron 2001, (sold in the US).  This model was marketed in the UK by Dixons, Prinzsound being the trade name for its products.

    It is a spherical unit with AM and FM Multiplex radio plus an 8 Track stereo player.  They were mainly available in white but also orange.  Nick-named the "Spaceball" or "Space Helmet"

    Volume, balance, and tone were controlled by sliders.  Radio tuning is by rotating a knob and AM, FM, or 8-track is selected by rotating a three-position knob.  On/off via a chrome push button.  FM stereo indicator neon light was also present.

    Contained 25 transistors and 13 diodes.

    Powered by AC 240V, DC 12 v from 8 D Cells, or 12V from a car battery.

    The product was made in Japan, designated 715
