Pye A6 Transistor Portable
A portable broadcast band radio having six transistors, one germanium diode, one thermistor and housed in leather case with aluminium frame, in tan or light pigskin.
Features: tuning range 528-1640 kHz, ferrite rod aerial and 4" Rola speaker. Operates from four Eveready Type 935 (1.5V) C cells, or equivalent, fitting into rear of cabinet in special container. Tuning (hand spun on front), volume/on-off control on side of cabinet. Printed circuit employed (ECN-020 marked on the copper side). (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
This model has a slightly different PCB from earlier model R15-05A (with PCB 4572) to accommodate the changeover to Ducon miniature I.F. transformers.
