- Notes
-
A portable broadcast band radio having six transistors, one germanium diode, and one thermistor and housed in leather case with aluminium frame, in tan or light pigskin.
Features: tuning range 528-1640 kHz, ferrite rod aerial, and 4" Rola speaker. Operates from four Eveready Type 935 (1.5V) C cells, or equivalent, fitting into the rear of the cabinet in a special container. Tuning (hand spun on front), volume/on-off control on the side of the cabinet. Printed circuit employed. (FROM MINGAY'S PRICE SERVICE)
The schematic of this version shows AWV 2N series transistors as alternatives.
Note: 2N470 transistors are shown on schematic notes as AWV equivalents for V5 & V6. This is not correct as 2N470 transistors are NPN silicon. This is probably a typo on the notes.
