  • Notes
  • Since the 1950s and early 1960s broadcast television cameras were large and expensive, they merited a resplendent manufacturer's emblem symbolising their value and quality. The Pye emblem for this function was a heavily chrome-plated highly polished 2 1/4 " diameter cast metal disc. For attachment to the case of the camera, the disc has a central 2 BA threaded steel stud and a 3.9 mm diameter lug to prevent rotation. Later versions of the emblem were also very fine but had a plainer black fill instead of the speckled glossy red one illustrated.
