  • Notes
  • This model seems to be rarer than the FenMan 1 RG. It is smaller with a narrower width dark wood cabinet a little under twice the width of the tuning scale. The Fenman1 RM has adaptations to the Chassis that allow the fittining of the Record Maker Module. The modifications are a B9A socket on the rear of the Chassis and holes in the cabinet adjacent and to the right of the turntable covered with a decorative plate if the RM module is not fitted. The record player is accessible by lifting up a full width hinged lid. It is a Garrard RC121/4H type. This turntable has a removable cartridge carrier so that the RM head can be fitted when recording discs. Detail of the recording head can be seen on the PYE Record Maker page. The radio unit is mounted in the centre front of the cabinet. Two sliding doors at the bottom of the cabinet conceal the loudspeaker on the left and a record storage compartment on the right. The PYE RM unit can be fitted in a few minutes requires no soldering or changes to the Fenman 1 RM chassis see pictures for more details.
