The mains supply can be AC or DC, hence the U in model name.
Uses 2 x 126 type Bell batteries for LT and Pye K4 (wander plugs) 90V HT, perhaps a Portable 61 as the K4 is used in the "New Baby Q". Using 9V rather than 7.5V is rarer for 4 valve models.
Only differs from P29UBQ in case material (Moulded), the P27UBQ is rexine covered wood.
