The Tangent Galvanometer is an instrument used to measure current by measuring needle deflection.The Galvanometer is initially aligned (coil and needle) to the Earth magnetic Field, then current is applied, and the needle moves away from the initial position. The measured deflection angle is proportional to the current circulating in the coil.
